\[ACFM = SCFM \times \frac{14.7}{P} \times \frac{T}{530}\]

Where:

  • ACFM: Actual Cubic Feet per Minute
  • SCFM: Standard Cubic Feet per Minute
  • P: Actual pressure (in PSIA)
  • T: Actual temperature (in °R, where °R = °F + 460)
  • 14.7: Standard pressure (in PSIA)
  • 530: Standard temperature (in °R, equivalent to 70°F)

Calculation Steps

  1. Convert the actual temperature from °F to °R by adding 460
  2. Apply the formula: ACFM = SCFM × (14.7 / P) × (T / 530)

Example Calculation

Let's convert 100 SCFM to ACFM at 20 PSIA and 80°F:

  1. Convert temperature: 80°F + 460 = 540°R
  2. ACFM = 100 × (14.7 / 20) × (540 / 530) = 75.47 ACFM
