Electric Motor Calculator
The Formulas
The main formulas used in electric motor calculations are:
- Power (W) = Voltage (V) × Current (A) × Efficiency (%)
- Torque (Nm) = (Power (W) × 9.5488) / Speed (RPM)
Calculation Steps
- Calculate the power using voltage, current, and efficiency
- Calculate the torque using power and rotational speed
Example Calculation
Let's calculate the power and torque for a motor with the following parameters:
- Voltage: 220 V
- Current: 10 A
- Speed: 1750 RPM
- Efficiency: 90%
- Power = 220 × 10 × (90 / 100) = 1980 W
- Torque = (1980 × 9.5488) / 1750 = 10.80 Nm
